Another
spot that was secluded until not long ago because of its difficult
access that only been improved recently. One of the most beautiful
beaches of Bali, Balangan has got a particular exuberance
of nature with a lot of vegetation and palm trees.
Best conditions:
Like Uluwatu, Balangan receives swell more easily than other
spots and the more south influence, the better. Because of
its many sections, at any swell size there are some waves.
Can hold any size without affecting the wave´s formation.
Localization:
Balangan is situated at the beginning of the bay that marks
the beaches of the "Bukit peninsula".
Type of wave:
Balangan is a fast and powerful left that has got many sections,
some with tubes, that tend to close breaking very fast but
on the right days the sections connect making the wave very
long and perfect.
Access:
By the same road that goes to Dreamland, only the last 200
meters are not paved.
Crowd factor:
These days Balangan can get a bit crowded in the best days
but nothing like Ulus or Padang.
Infraestructure:
There are a few warungs on the beach serving local dishes,
snacks and drinks where you can get a good massage in front
of the waves for a very reasonable price.
Tips:
Beware of the last section of the reef specially at the dropping
tide.Don´t leave nothing inside your car, the parking
lot is not that safe.
