AUGUST 2008 - Month of small waves

And August is over on Bali...probably the most inconsistent August on the last decade!! But as we are speaking of Bali, even without having any swell breaking bigger than 5 to 6 feet, which happened on very few occasions, days of perfect waves of 3 to 4 feet were very common on Uluwatu.

On the last week of August we had 5 consecutive days of excellent waves on the 3 to 4 feet range on the Race Tracks of Uluwatu that got everyone stoked. From what I've heard Bingin also showed some good conditions.

Surfers such as the locals Ketut Pitur, Made Lana and Rizal Tandjung and foreigners like Rob Machado, Kailani Jabour, Maya Gabeira, Stephan Figueredo, Alex, Juninho and many others got stoked with the perfect waves that didn't stop breaking for nearly a week at Ulus.

We also had here the illustrious presence of Royler Gracie and Bruno Panno that came to Bali specially to do a Jiu-jitsu seminar.
Finally we have here in Bali a gym where it's possible to train Jiu-Jitsu.

On this moment we are going through a few days of a flat spell on the island and the prediction shows a swell of small to medium intensity that should arrive on the island tomorrow and probably will hang around for 5 to 7 days.It looks like there will be another week of a lot of Race Tracks coming.what can we do??
