One of the first discoveries made by the pioneer
surfers to venture in balinese waves. It´s the school
for powerful waves to Kuta locals.
Best conditions:
South swell, medium size with an incoming medium tide and
E.S.E. winds (offshore).
Localization:
kuta beach is situated at about 800 meters from Kuta beach
right in front of Sandi Phala hotel.
Type of wave:
With the right conditions these lefts can get really good
producing 2 tubes on one wave that can go for 200 meters or
more. Over 6 feet the wave tends to double up loosing perfection.
Good wave to get barreled and do top turns.
Access:
By a little boat or paddling out from the beach in front of
the parking lot right in front of the point from where the
little boats leave.
Crowd factor:
Because of its proximity to Kuta is one of the most crowded
spots in Bali. Everyday there are dozens of surfers in the
water and many locals.
Infrastructure:
Class "A" with a good hotel right in front of the
point with a nice restaurant and swimming pool plus the proximity
to Kuta.
Tips:
Because of its closeness to Kuta, many old locals surf this
wave plus the new generation. Keep that in mind.
Pay attention when the tide start dropping, the
wave doubles up and the reef get shallow.
