Best conditions:
Small or medium south swell not over 6 feet with W.SW.
winds (onshore at Uluwatu and Kuta) and medium to low tide.
Localization:
On the west coast of Bali, at Turtle island.
Type of wave:
Rights and lefts, many peaks with a channel.a good wave for
high performance surfing that can produce some barrels depending
on the swell direction and tide. The Balinese Rocky Point.
Access:
By the By Pass road, in front of Makro get in on the white road
that leads to the beach.
Crowd Factor:
Because it's an easy wave and real good to practice powerfull
turns, the locals from Kuta are always around whenever it's
on besides the Japanese that surf this spot almost every day
in the rain season.
Infraestructure:
There is a very poor infraestructure in the area with few warungs
serving local dishes, snacks and drinks and a few restaurants
down the road on the way to the main road.
Tips:
Look for a peak that offer some decent waves without too much
crowd as the waves break at many parts of the reef. Never arrive
in big groups making noise and above all respect the locals.
